NC Pre-K Standardized Site Selection Process

The NC Pre-K Standardized Site Selection Process is the state process used by the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) to approve child care facilities as potential future NC Pre-K sites. This process allows the local NC Pre-K Planning Committee, through the work of the Site Selection Sub-Committee, to identify sites that may be considered for NC Pre-K placement based on available slots, community need, and other factors outlined in the rubric.

An informational session is required for any interested four- or five-star licensed facilities, or facilities with a current temporary license.

The session will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 1:30 PM at the Partnership for Children of Wayne County office. Registration is required to attend the informational session.

Interested sites must attend the informational session to proceed with the site selection application process.

Please email: swillis@pfcw.org to register no later than Monday, March 23, 2026, by 5:00pm.
